Two Truths and a Lie is a thrilling, chilling, and captivating murder mystery story in true Agatha Christie style! I love a good “who dunnit?” story and that certainly is the vibe of this book.
Pacing of the story was pretty good, slow at the start and then picks up in the second half, getting really intense. It definitely built up in the way that I wanted it to.
Also, I loved the art at the beginning of the chapters!
I did manage to guess the killer was pretty easily though and I was hoping there would be a bigger twist than what I had guessed.
The characters are kinda flat and not very likeable, at least for me. Apart from the main characters, I got really annoyed at the behavior of the other characters. Some of them could have been pretty good if they had been fleshed out a little more.
Overall though I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more from this author!
Special thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

This was successfully creepy, but it was very much giving "white author thinks she's being inclusive but is actually leaning into stereotypes."
A very quick, intense read. I loved Nell, the main character, and all the twists and turns!

This was so bad 😂 I’m giving it 1.5 stars (close to 2, which to me means “it was okay”) just because it was a fun read and a suuuuuuper quick one. Otherwise I definitely would have given this one star. It was all over the place. No single character felt like a real person at any point in time. Some of the “twists” just made the story feel cheap and stupid. There were some incredibly insensitive things said by multiple characters throughout the story that just really rubbed me the wrong way. The weird love triangle thing with Knox was incredibly stupid and made 0 sense and also completely disappeared at some point and was never resolved. Overall the stakes just weren’t nearly as high as I expected them to be. And the ending was incredibly jarring and felt rushed.

This was less zany than the other Henry books I have read, and I missed that. It's reminiscent of Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" but with teens in a motel that's like a maze. It's not bad, it's an enjoyable read. It just wasn't what I was expecting.

The number of times two truths and a lie was explained was criminal. The second half wasn't too terrible, but overall it was not compelling or entertaining.
