always with "The Things," I'm getting a little tired of the same plot

Quite a slow one to get going, but the idea is great and the last 20% is fantastic

This one didn’t hit like others have. Honestly was a bit of slog to get through at times. The story is interesting enough but I was a bit on edge for a lot of it as I couldn’t get ‘the hook’.

I think I’ve come to the conclusion it’s just a fun one with lots of references and I shouldn’t think too hard about needing ‘a conflict’. But I did. Maybe I’ll enjoy it more on a reread!
