Before Hitchcock’s game changing thriller starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh, Psycho was a nail-biting page-turner from Robert Bloch. The narrative is exciting and compelling, while readers are met with the psychotic Norman Bates, a lonely motel owner. His personality disorder, mommy issues and neurotic behavior shocked readers in 1959; and so did the famous shower scene — present here, too.

I've finally read this one as well. It was interesting to see how people lived in the 50s, reminded me of black and white movies.

I need to compare to the movie now. Fun horror book, for something so short it kept my attention the entire time.
