Out of all of the books in the trilogy this is the one that really gets under your skin. I experienced an array of emotions reading this book. I was angry, I was sad, I was so many things. This series was so good.

By far my favorite book in the trilogy. Throughout the books, Bardugo has a gift of giving the reader hope then distinguishing it. She has a gift of being unpredictable in the sense of how the book will end. Throughout the three books, she kept me guessing what would happen next. She kept me gasping at something I never thought would ever happen. The twists and turns were never-ending down to the last chapter.

GREAT ending to a very satisfactory series. I read all three books in a row, which was the right move. They don't really feel like three unique books, just like three parts of one.

I think that this book becomes less of a generic fantasy novel, although the main character is still kind of boring. I really like the other characters still and would love to read a book from the perspective of the villain.

some bits are really enjoyable and a lot of the relationships between alina and the secondary characters get much needed development, but the pacing seems a bit all over the place and the ending isn’t satisfying for me at all
