Very well written and engaging. Yet, for some reason it didn't peak my interest as I thought it would. However, this doesn't detract me from reading other novels and short stories by Steven King. I read others to see how they are.

I can’t begin to describe how intense and incredible this story is. I love how Stephen king seems to make the bad intangible parts of life visible - like how John removes the bad stuff from inside someone and when he releases it, the bad becomes black bugs you can see and watch as dissolve to a white color until they completely disappear. I really enjoyed that this story is set during the Great Depression.

I assumed this was going to be a horror novel, because, you know, SK.  It turned out to be one of the best reads in a long time!  One of the two books that has the BEST last line! (The other one is Red Grass River.)
