I was very happy with this book.
It was a cute little relationship that is formed over the want to take down their backwards all-girls school through the hoax of a girl and various 'pranks'. The slow-burn of their relationship was painful but very much worth it in the end.
I was so glad that I found a good LGBT+ book set in Australia (haven't some across many of those) and the story didn't let me down. It was funny how much of real life I could see in this book - State rivalry, different city names being mentioned - I very rarely seem to come across books set in Australia that are genuinely good.

The characters were written so well they almost felt real. I could compare each and every character to a person I know at school in real life. Harriet, Will, Liz and unfortunately, Coach Hadley. Majority of the teachers in this book really anger me and it pisses me off how terrible the morals and priorities of the school are.

I personally think that this book was written quite well.
There's a development to the story then entire way through and I don't think that there was any stand-stills in the plot. I think that the ending could have been written better - there was a time jump (sort of) and it was sort of unclear, for me.

It was the genre of book that I like and I very much enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend.

Brilliant from start to finish, I could hardly bear to put it down. Erin Gough has created a fascinating world within this elite private school, filled with diverse and interesting characters. So much of the politics in the school took me back to my own school days - it so realistically portrayed the way young girls interact with each other and the power of female friendship.

An amazing book that catches your attention it shows two strong and willful young ladies who want to do right by funny means and talk about what is wrong with their school and community.

It’s like if someone wrote a Wattpad story inspired by Radio Rebel, but wanted to make it about lesbians. Except they’re both way less likable than any of those characters. The writing is bad, the build up sucks, most of the tropes are badly done, and the romance is barely there and then they’re in love? Probably my least favorite read this year, I finished it to get it over with.

Harriet Price is the perfect student, she follows all the rules and all the teachers love her. On the other hand Will Everhart is a troublemaker who has never met an injustice she doesn't want to fight. They're an unlikely pair, but together they make Amelia Westlake a made-up student at their school who's working to right the wrongs they see. Starting with their creepy swim coach.

In the beginning Harriet really irritated me because she had such thick rose-colored glasses on, but as time went on and she spent more time with Will she got better. The beginning was slow but I found myself enjoying the ending a lot. I know some people did not like the fact that Harriet's mother was against her being a lesbian and of course I would have loved her to have all the support in the world for being who she is. But for some people that's how it is. If the beginning was better I would have rated it higher. A good recommendation for someone who likes social justice focused books.

A highly enjoyable read, Amelia Westlake is the kind of refreshing contemporary book that you want to read in one sitting.

A novel about girls, Willhemina and Harriet, who create a pysdonym to pull statement pranks at their elitist school. Somewhere along the way they fall for each other, and it's wonderful.

This book also highlights internalized rascism, elitist privlidge, sexism, and toxic relationships.

I adored reading this, thank you Erin Gough for another fantastic novel to shove in people's faces.
