A great lesson in empathy was this story. Besides being the best reading to accompany you in these beautiful times.
Eve is the daughter of the coach at Heston U. She is going through a painful breakup, one that leaves an impact on her. When her path crosses that of Cole, the boy who returns to Heston after quite a few years. And he returns as an assistant coach of Heston’s U hockey team. Their paths collide and they learn to heal their insecurities, grow, and fall in love with themselves as they make a match two soul mates of life.
I love your connection and how everything flows in a spectacular way. Almost as if no time had passed and they had always been connected in some way.
It's a read that leaves you pondering, brings out quite a few sighs, a treacherous tear, and a heart full of love. The writer never disappoints, but this time, she left a big mark on me.

Wish the FMC would’ve been a little less self doubting and more of a boss babe to start but overall loved the storyline and character development. Super cute love story!
This was a pretty cute read. It’s a brother’s best friend trope and I think it did a really great job explaining the relationship that Cole and Eve had before realizing they both had feelings for each other.
*massive spoilers ahead*
I have a bunch of random things I didn’t like about this book, like the way they only texted through the dating app, sending dirty texts back and forth. Why couldn’t they just text on their phones? And there was more spice through the text than in person, which was annoying.
And the fact that they dated for an entire year before telling anyone!
I didn’t like the way Benson found out about their relationship. It was so random and fast paced. Eve’s dad finding out also bugged me because I don’t know, lock the door so no one will walk in on you!
And Cole literally ran Eve’s ex out of town?? Yeah, right.
^^ these little details are the reason why I didn’t give this a 5 star.
