Review: Matching All the Way is a holiday romance within the Heston Lake and Heston U worlds that bridges them perfectly! This story is a full length holiday novel that spans a year as Eve and Cole find their way together and face the obstacles that stand in their way! It is great for any holiday romance fan and hockey romance readers alike.

Eve is Coach Lombard’s daughter who was seen in the Heston U hockey books and this is her story. I found her to be super relatable and very much someone who I wanted to root for. I enjoyed how Veronica made her character raw and more real than some FMCs in these types of books. Her character arc of overcoming her adversity and creating her own business was part of what made her story so likable. I also found myself enjoying the way she was a secret instigator and dirty talker once she began seeing Cole. I was shocked with how devious she was in regards to Cole and their secret relationship.

Coach Kincaid on the other hand is full SWOON. The attraction he has towards Eve is full of forbidden vibes and secret looks. I liked all of his innuendos and dirty talking once he and Eve became an item and the text conversations were the perfect cherry on top! One area I loved about Cole was how protective he was over Eve, even before they began seeing each other. I liked how he made sure people respected her and found it hilarious how it took one of his hockey players to push him to take the next step with her.

Eve and Cole are full of the forbidden vibes and begin as a secret relationship after matching by accident on a dating app. Veronica created the guilt Cole had about not telling Coach Lombard really well and I found it hilarious that Eve’s parents ended up knowing anyway! Eve and Cole have A LOT of chemistry and tension from the beginning but the steam is slower to build and much of it takes place over text or video calls until Cole takes it into his own hands. This book has no third act break-up and Eve’s brother is not really surprised to see them together either which I found refreshing. Overall, this is a great book for anyone wanting to get in the holiday spirit!

Rating: 4/5, a spicy and swoon worthy forbidden holiday romance!
