If you are a person who really doesn't know what is fun for you, or even what you enjoy, this is a very detailed breakdown of how to figure it out. Ironically, the act of reading the book is tedious.

A book that rightfully reminds us that having fun is, in many respects, the point of life. As the pressures of late-stage capitalism conspire to make us think the only thing that matters is productivity, Price (and others) are leading the vanguard of arguing for a better, more fun life.

I came to this from Price's [b:How to Break Up with Your Phone|35209767|How to Break Up with Your Phone The 30-Day Plan to Take Back Your Life|Catherine Price|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1514998972l/35209767._SX50_.jpg|56547989], to which I gave 5 stars. There was a good bit of overlap between that one and this one, so I'm knocking a star off my rating. But it was interesting, with just the right balance of research and anecdotes. I had borrowed the audiobook from my library, but I've now bought the Kindle version to work through some of the exercises. Good stuff.

I'm hard pressed to think of anyone who wouldn't benefit from reading this book, especially after how soul-sucking the last two years have been. The subtitle, "How to Feel Alive Again" is absolutely apropros. I had already started making some intentional changes toward "True Fun" as the author calls the types of fun activities that leave us feeling recharged and rejuvenated, and this gave me even more direction. Upon turning the hard copy in to the library, I immediately put the audio on hold, and I think I'll be buying my own copy at some point as well.
