I try really hard not to compare novels especially sequels, but I just didn't have the same desire to devour this novel like I did with To Kill A Mockingbird. The messages were just as important, but I did not enjoy it as much.

A good read, but it pales in comparison to the original!

The ending was the only good part of this book, and even that wasn't as impressive as To Kill a Mockingbird.

I understand why she didn't want it published. It's an uncomfortable story, poorly told. There are hints of the finesse of To Kill a Mockingbird. But, this isn't at all consistent.

I don't regret reading it. But, don't need to read it again.

I find this hard to admit as To Kill A Mockingbird is my favorite book, but I DETEST this book. I hate what became of the characters. I hate the story. I hate everything about it. It is abundantly clear why Harper Lee didn't want it published. I just wish she had pitched it in the fireplace before her estate got ahold of it.

I has actual excerpts from Mockingbird in it. It is scattered. It feels like a series of post it notes pasted together.

I have read 100 pages and that is enough. DNF.

Really could not finish this book. The writing style was tedious to follow and the story line monotone and without depth.
