This is a beautiful graphic novel of some of the time during the 13 years Hatter Magdin was searching for Alyss. The art is amazing. There isn't too much text, most of it is told via the stories, but I really enjoyed the vision.

I generally don't read graphic novels because they are not my favorite format, but I read this because it's taken forever for the 3rd one to be published. It was interesting to read what Hatter was going through, but I am anxious to get back to Alyss.

Great art, good story...read it but make sure to read The Looking Glass Wars first (The first novel in the series).

Alice in Wonderland + Ben Templesmith.. how could you go wrong?
Maybe if I read The Looking Glass Wars, or even knew what that was, I'd enjoy this comic more.

The writing style here is much too expository for me (I don’t need the reporter’s motivations explained again or have her explain the scene that just occurred each time). I also can’t tell what in the world is supposed to be happening with the hatter’s knives - I think I’m just not into Templesmith’s art style. (And again, it over explains - instead of drawing a character grabbing a hat in a way you can tell what is happening, he writes “grabs” in the middle of the frame).

Love the idea and artwork - I’m not sold on the execution

I love this YA series by Beddor and the graphic novel of the Mad Hatter's journey is FANTASTIC. Great visuals to go with compelling storytelling.

I enjoyed the graphic novel. I LOVE the artist's concept and work. While it may not be the best thing ever, I still enjoyed it.
