Audiobooks always take me a while, wanting to take time to absorb the story while listening. This book was such a treat, and I loved the various tween/ teen’s stories and how they were all interwoven. Highly recommend!

A book of short stories where each chapter is written by a different authentic native writer. The neat part was that all of the stories are centered around the same pow wow in Ann Arbor and characters from other chapters appear in other stories. Fast feel-good read, it also shows us a peak into different tribe traditions and cultures.

A solid collection of stories for kids. The central location for the stories is both a strength (some cross over in fun ways) and a weakness (the repetition of some elements), but the variety of Native perspectives is interesting and the stories appealing. A needed addition to anthologies for this age.

This book was a slow start for me but once I really committed to reading it, it was hard to put down. Recommended for middle-grade readers but also adults. Relatable Native American characters all center around a pow-wow in Michigan. Short stories.

A wonderful collection of short stories, each inter-woven in some way, taking place at a yearly pow-wow in Michigan. The stories celebrate all different nations, coming together to celebrate each culture through dance, books, artwork, and friendship. I learned so much about each Nation and would love to attend a powwow some day. Thank you for this book!!
