A cute short story about a merchant and his love life and journies to Asia. And so funny that the italian author mentions Elberfeld several times. Makes him really likable (at least for me

Simple, yet incredibly beautiful, passionate and powerful. I loved the cadence of the author's writing.
Certamente lo stile è molto particolare, tuttavia non sono convinta che questo autore faccia per me.
La trama e i personaggi sono un po' troppo essenziali. Lievemente abbozzati.
La scrittura sobria è quella delle favole, ci si può leggere un significato, o anche più di uno, ma nonostante questo non l'ho apprezzato pienamente.
Tranne qualche caso eccezionale non amo le storie tristi e malinconiche e questo unitamente allo stile non mi ha fatto apprezzare pienamente il libro.

this was a recommendation from my grandpa and i must say it was good but a bit light hearted for me, i’ve read such gruesome books that this just felt a bit soft, regardless i loved the writing and it really got me hooked
