Mr Behind the Bastards squeezed a surprising amount of world building and character development into 360 pages. I thoroughly enjoyed the ultramodern Fallout-esque hellscape. The transhumanism and extreme fundamentalism make for a great dichotomy.

It's always nice to see a work of genuinely creative dystopian fiction in a field full of so many formulaic cash grabs. I was especially compelled by Sasha, and her journey of radicalization and eventual disillusionment. The sci-fi elements are  really cool, but even the ultra powerful modified superhumans feel very real and down to earth.

Really enjoyed this book. The multiple perspectives added new layers to situations and book is peppered with dark humor in otherwise very dark situations. Very much enjoyed the writing style and themes as well as the way the story unfolded.
