I enjoyed this one as it provides first hand accounts from the people who came to England as part of the Windrush generation.
Each chapter is headed by a story from Colin Grant about his parents or his own experiences and some background information and then we get stories on the theme from the different "Voices".
An original and different way of telling history purely from first hand accounts so the reader can better understand the experiences of the people rather than just the statistics. It would be interesting to read similar accounts from other areas of Britain, as with all Black and British books this is very London-centric. I might try find the Radio 4 recordings as well.
Definitely recommended reading.
