Interesting. I most enjoyed the parts that were about Hanna, the oldest woman who grew up in early 1900's Sweden. This family seems to have bad luck/bad judgement with men. A thought provoking story.
For me this book didn't live up to its expectations. The writing was confusing at times, perhaps due to a "bad" translation? It's an interesting history, containing the lives of generations. But I feel I haven't unlocked all of their secrets...

Didn't know what to think of it and then, halfway through, I began to really enjoy listening to these women talking about their lives. You shouldn't read it too slowly, the similar names and times confused me a bit but once you're inside the story more and more dots connect and the last few pages left me smiling
