Tried too hard to be moving, didn’t really do anything for me. Didn’t really care whether I picked the book up again or not, so…

2 1/2. As always, Ogawa's writing style never fails to get me hooked and to deliver that unsettling sensation that something is about to happen, or something's off and I still have to get the full picture to understand what's going on.
That being said, this book didn't really win a place in my heart like the others, even if there's a progression of events I found the story a bit flat and let's also say that maths and baseball aren't my favourite topics.
I'm happy to have read it anyway.

I've never liked math so much. This book is beautiful, from the concept to the writing. Easily one of my favorite books of all time.
