This was such a fun and unique read! Very pleasantly surprised by this and how deep it got. There’s a lot of subtle advice and golden prices of writing throughout the book.

I read Terrace Story before this one and while I did enjoy it, I like this one a lot more. It felt more fully-realized. This was just very fun! I think that Hilary Leichter’s writing style is my preferred type of litfic-meets-magical-realism. Temporary is a book that I will probably carry with me in small bits and pieces for years to come.
