OK, so I actually liked the first one despite its flaws. This one, however, is not half as funny or clever. I get it's a comedy, and I do appreciate that they made Red Wolf a lawyer... but so much else about this comic is tone deaf, especially if you actually know the characters they're based on. I've never liked when the Marvel Westerns drag real people into their adventures and this is no exception. No reason to use Annie Oakley when Arizona Annie exists AND has super strength. They gave Red Wolf a law career and then didn't actually do anything to flesh him out.

The way Matt (Two-Gun) is treated is blatantly antisemitic (removing his principled dedication to ensuring all men have the right to legal counsel and making it about the profits he can make from it, playing into the "wimpy Jewish man" stereotype by completely removing his skill with a gun) and that, if for no other reason, puts a terribly bad taste in my mouth.

Finally, the hackneyed plot with Rawhide's father makes no fucking sense with what has been established about Rawhide's past and plays into a lot of gay stereotypes, but not in a way that manages to be nuanced or even entertaining. Read Blaze of Glory if you want an actually good team-up with Marvel's Western heroes, though the tone is completely different.
