Ah... Maverick. He is kind of hot. Bitter Sweet Heart is sweet without the bitter. I think Miss Hunting putting her hero in the center of the story instead of her heroine. Although Clover's background serves as a platform for Maverick' character into the spotlight.

Maverick is not disappoint. He is very sweet and gentle. His no filter mouth is cute and funny. I like him very much. It is good to see some of other characters in this book.

Overall a very good book.

I absolutely love Maverick! He is so sweet & fun & flirty, but also cares deeply, loves hard & isn’t afraid to be real.
I love how he makes sure Clover is ok every step of the way.
I love the fun silly banter, but also the real, emotional talks. This was a great story!

i read the second book first not knowing it was a series, anyways it was good i liked the representations of mental health and how it wasn’t romanticised and dealt with like it was a joke, i really related to maverick and his struggles a bit too much.. but that’s okay. anyways i liked this a lot because even the final conflicts weren’t trivial like oh you said this or did that, like it was realistic and made me like rlly appreciate it

Oh my. Ya'll, Idk where to start! This MMC Maverick, had so much hidden depth! (Maybe it wasn't, I'm kinda not observant!) But compared to what I remembered from from Little Lies, he was. In this book, we find out more of what kind of brother he is, and how trauma in a family can affect those all around. And his ending ya'll, his ending... ❤️!!!

Clover our FMC is great. There's very few romances like this that I've read and the problems the two of them face are compounded I think by who's the male, who's the female. And she has some problemos my friends. Real ones.

We got more BJ in this book. A scene where he and Maverick are talking while eating breakfast I think... I read that scene 3 times. I can't wait to see Lily and Randy as parents. (We get one scene with Randy and I'm already excited

2023 reread!

Maverick and Clover's story was amazing, I loved every page, this was a fantastic sport romance roller-coaster read. From the beginning you can see how it will pan out, but definitely wasn't prepared for all the feelings. Clover is perfect for Maverick, and Maverick is a character that will stay with you. All the brilliant writing that only H. Hunting can deliver, with the funny side, their interactions, yet full of emotions and deep interesting background story to follow. Simply a fantastic read!
