Bitter Sweet Heart by H. Hunting was just what I needed. I am typically not a huge fan of second generations but man, this series just keeps getting better.
I could feel Maverick and Clover's chemistry from the moment they met. These two were HOT! After a one-night stand that went perfectly, they find themselves in a bit of an uncomfortable situation.

Bitter Sweet Heart was such a beautiful surprise! I expected this story to be good, but I didn't know how amazing it would be. It was really profound and romantic with moments of humor as it's the norm with Helena Hunting (aka H. Hunting).
Maverick was really a great hero. I loved how he was so thoughtful and selfless toward not only his love interest, Clover, but also his family. I enjoyed being in his head and discovering his doubts about the future and slowly watching him open up to Clover about it. I liked reading about Clover's struggles about her conflicting feelings for Maverick who is almost a decade younger than her. Her head and heart were definitely at war. This couple truly had a special bond that was purely gorgeous! They connected on a deeper level than just physically. Their forbidden romance was lovely.
All the side characters brought so much depth to the novel. I loved, loved, loved the conversations between Maverick and his parents and sister, Lavender. They were filled with hilarity but also so much emotion. All the other members of the Pucked family featured in the book made this read memorable! I hope for more books in the Lies, Hearts & Truths Series!

I just didn't mesh well with Maverick and Clove and their whirlwind of a romance. I loved Little Lies, and I feel like I would've loved this story more if I read them closer together, but I did not.
