March 27, 2019-
Ok, before I begin my review- this book contains subject matter that may trigger some. It is dark, twisted, and a little bit crazy. It deals with children being raped and abused- so if that is something you can't read I recommend skipping this book.

"And with malice in his heart and darkness in his veins, smiled and said, "Tick tock."

Ellis loves playing pretend, her favorite things include her doll, tea parties, and her copy of Alice in Wonderland. She even dresses like Alice. When a new boy moves in, she is enraptured by him. Dark hair, dark clothes including a black waist coat, and silver eyes Heathen has always been feared. But Ellis isn't scared. She quickly becomes his best friend, and even names him Rabbit, after her book.

But quickly, things take a turn for the worst, and Heathen and Ellis are subjected to a hell neither of them could claw out of, and then separated, plunging them into two different worlds of darkness. Plus Rabbit vowed to return, and return he did, to take Ellis on an adventure and annihilate the men who decided to hurt and destroy them and their childhoods.

When it comes to dark romance, for me I have to be in the right (or wrong) mindset for it. Don't get me wrong, I love me a good dark romance, but sometimes the subject matter is hard for me to read, especially if it's something that resonates with me- something I personally relate to.

This book, was sometimes hard to read- with the sexual, and physical abuse of children. BUT the men who hurt them, in the end got what was coming to them. It was a dark and twisted take on Alice in Wonderland. And I loved Rabbit. I always gravitate towards the guys who are broken. The vulnerability, and what makes them tick, to find out what made them the way they are. And Rabbit is no different. He was broken even before he was abused, and my heart went out to him.

This book was dark, twisted, and insane. It was hot, and bothersome. It was everything that plunged this into a fucked up version of Alice in Wonderland.

October 25, 2023-
Oh my goodness.

So this is a reread of Sick Fux, & I still very much love it as much as the first time.

Definitely check TW on this one, bc it's fake, and twisted and fucked up.

Heathen "Rabbit" & Ellis "Dolly" deserved sooo much better in their childhoods - but they grew attached to one another, until they were ripped apart.

Now Rabbit is back to collect his Dolly, and take revenge on the twisted bastards who destroyed them. One at a time. Each one more deadly than the last.

Tick Tock.

I loved Heathen. He was dark even before the men ruined him- he enjoyed watching things die. And the moment Ellis stepped into his life- he had his eyes set on her. Always her.

Ellis was sweet, innocent, and pure. She was the light to Heathen's darkness. The two making an unlikely pair. She loved to dance, loved Tea, and Alice in Wonderland. Heathen would do anything to prevent the darkness from tainting her - until he was ripped away from her, not able to protect her. He waited eleven years in hell - biding his time. Until he could escape. Steal his Dolly back and seek revenge on all who have harmed her.

This book has MANY triggers, so definitely look them up before going in.

But it is dark and twisted. Heathen and Ellis painted the world in the blood of all those who have wronged them. My heart hurt for the pair. As always, I fall for the most dark and twisted and broken, and this was no different. I love Heathen. And loved their story.

If you would love a dark and twisted Alice in Wonderland tale, then I recommend picking up this book.
5⭐ out of 5⭐.

“The three always turned me on: blood, and death, and Dolly. And better yet . . . Killer Dolly”

Wow, I was not expecting what I got.
Judging by the title and the news of how it was a banned book and everything, I knew it was going to be dark.
I was scared and hesitant in the beginning to start with thinking it be too dark for me.
But it was the perfect kind of dark I was looking for.

It was definitely a dark bloody red crime murder mystery SICK FUX read.
Trigger warning on a lot of things from; sexual assault, rape, paedophilia, trauma, abuse, blood, gore, graphic and descriptive details.

I actually enjoy that it focused on the revenge plotline of course with a side of romance here and there.
However, it's more focused on the character development of facing trauma, PTSD and all.
I love the Alice in Wonderland concept.
It was such a brilliant concept that I fell in love with it.

Although it was a very dark book, it was easy to read and I was going through it fast.
The pacing and structure of the book move flawlessly.
I won't mind reading more of it or about Henry\Hyde

“Soulmates forged in fire, under the watchful gaze of Satan’s mocking eyes.”

Do not go into the book blind, check Trigger warnings!

Masturbated and didn't get the soul wrecking rush you expected?
This book is the same.

I mean I loved the sinister MCs and the whole Alice in the Wonderland turn it took but, the end was so damn anticlimactic, a complete contrast to the whole book.
If they would've died looking into each other's eyes and I use half of my aqueous humour, then it would definitely be a 5 star reader for me.
Anyways we love some unbothered maniacs who always leave their DNA sprawling around and with their luck with the police, I might as well steal some hardbacks.
