I hated what happened to Heathen(Rabbit) and Ellis(Dolly) when they were children. I hated what they had to endure at the hands of Ellis' father and his business associates and what happened to Ellis mother because she didn't agree with her husband's activities.
I loved that Ellis and Heathen eventually get their revenge on the men who hurt them and so many other children. And I loved that even though Eddie didn't hated Heathen for stealing his best friend he still let them go when he could've arrested them for their crimes. I also think Eddie may have a little darkness himself, just maybe not at bad as Heathen and Ellis. The way he reacted to wanting to be called the mad hatter and the fact he let them go when he didn't have to, made me think he may not be quite as straight laced as the other two thought.
So overall I absolutely loved this book. And is definitely recommend but beware of the trigger warnings. I do wish the author had put more specific trigger and content warnings instead of the generalized one she has on the book description. I was definitely shocked by some of the things in this book and would've liked more of a forewarning before getting into this book.

There were parts I loved, such as the authors writing style which drew me in and kept me at the edge. But this was overshadowed by the fact it was a dark and vile read, without a proper trigger warning list for the type of acts inflicted upon characters.
A book that involves kids as young as 10 needs some type of warning. And I will stand by that due to how explicit and degrading some of these scenes were.
My rating will most likely change after I think it over and digest what I just read. This is due to the fact my mind is still wondering why I kept going just for a mediocre revenge plot line and horrid child abuse scenes 🤷🏻♀️

Masturbated and didn't get the soul wrecking rush you expected?
This book is the same.
I mean I loved the sinister MCs and the whole Alice in the Wonderland turn it took but, the end was so damn anticlimactic, a complete contrast to the whole book.
If they would've died looking into each other's eyes and I use half of my aqueous humour, then it would definitely be a 5 star reader for me.
Anyways we love some unbothered maniacs who always leave their DNA sprawling around and with their luck with the police, I might as well steal some hardbacks.

Minor: Suicidal thoughts
