Loved this book! So glad everything worked out for Caroline, Will, Addie, and Flick.
3.5 stars - a good summer read, sweet and sappy like a Hallmark movie. I enjoyed reading it
Too descriptive. Skimmed a lot. The story line was good though.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This was the first book that I have read written by Susan Wiggs. I would read another book of hers in a heartbeat. I love the hope that this book gives to women. I loved that, for the most part, the women in this book were there to help each other, not tear each other down. I loved that there were more people to cheer for in the book than there were to hate. I love that, in the end, there was justice. I loved that inspiration was found in unexpected places.

Extremely disappointed…this book had a story line that I so wanted to know how it ends, however I will not recommend due to unnecessary profanity. The language in this book takes away from the story as a distraction and immature use of language. If the book is revised to drop the shock talk, I would love to know how it ends.
Language; profanity
The writing on this was pretty atrocious. The same general points were restated over and over and OVER again throughout and it got very tiring very quickly. Also the romance (what there was of it) was kind of sketch with him being married at the beginning to her supposed best friend. Basically, it was all over the place trying to provide conflict and then going on and on about the conflict, but it was mostly self-created conflict. I am not talking about the physical/mental abuse victims and survivors because that was actual conflict and for everyone who WASN'T the main character, handled decently. I am talking mostly about the main character's giving up on the guy she liked as a kid to her friend, handling it badly for the rest of her life, and the entire plot with the evil designer, abusive guy, and her repetitive internal monologues about how she can't handle these kids she's inherited. Just deal with it, lady. I can handle only so much whining before I give up on a character and a book.
Did not read about 1/5 of this because I got too irritated and skipped multiple chapters to just read the end.
Thanks to the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It took me awhile to get into this book but it moved quickly toward the end. I was a little hesitant to read this due to the abuse theme but it turned out to be a very sweet read.

The Oysterville Sewing Circle was ok but not for me. There were too many subplots and weird jumps in the timeline that just didn’t interest me. They took away from the sewing circle part of it, which didn’t get as much attention as you would expect for the title of the book.
I like books with a strong female protagonist and tons of character development, but that wasn’t quite this book, in fact it almost seemed like Caroline regressed a bit.
Again, it’s not that bad of a story. It’s just not my kind of book.
I think if you’re a fan of Nicholas Sparks books then you might enjoy this one!
