Yeah…I’m sick of Sandman. It’s like wading through quicksand.

This series is definitely picking up!

Like the first volume, I loved the art. It is really well made and it sets a creepy mood for the whole story. In the last volume I didn't get much of the story. It was just too much going on and it was either too little explanation... or I just didn't get it. In this one it started out the same, yet towards the end I was flipping the pages really fast to know what was going to happen next.

All in all, I'm starting to like this series more and more and I am excited to see what happens next.

Quite different than the first volume, with a more complicated, spread out plot and lot less Sandman in it. I liked it, and in some ways, liked it better than Preludes, but I would have liked more Morpheus. Also I wasn't a fan of the general portrayal of some throughout the book. Even Rose needed rescuing several times, needing various men (and one woman, playing the role of good little self sacraficing mommy) to save her. I could've done without the rather long section on serial killers but I rather enjoyed the random story in the middle about thr man who refused to die and his centenary meetups with the Sandman since the 1300s!
