Most of my favorite stories are the single chapter ones like "Tales in the Sand".
How does Gaiman keep everything straight? The references to previous people and events? The weaving of the stories?
Simply amazing work by everyone involved.

Preludes & Nocturnes was a bit more jumbled and seemed to be finding a rhythm. The second volume of the Sandman series is more cohesive, but still full of violent whimsy. The illustrations are awesome!

I really enjoyed how this one seemed to really pull all of our stories together. I also liked the character overlap/how long we stayed with characters this go around. I really enjoyed the ending as well. I loved this one.

I don't know what it is about this series. Again, I don't read many graphic novels. But I am a huge fan of Gaiman. There's something about the writing and plot that seems to pull me in when I'm always pretty sure I won't like it (or won't like it as much as I'd like to like it). Reading the reviews here has been immensely helpful to me: people are far cleverer at picking out the earlier instance of Unity, etc. I love the focus on Dream, his interactions with humans and his subjects, as well as the glimpses of his vulnerability (or humanity; call it what you will). I'm very much looking forward to reading the next installment.
