This was close to being a 5 star book, but I have to dock it for the character name change that occurred without explanation. One of the supporting characters who has been prominent in the last few books suddenly had a new name and it was very confusing. Not sure why the author would change his name in the last book?? Other than that the story was fascinating with The Camellia Club in town and how they were intertwined with one of the Havenwood residents. I am pleased with how Ella Mae's story wrapped up but will miss reading about her and family.

I really didn't understand why the name of a secondary character had been changed. It was so strange. I had to go to the previous book to make sure I wasn't crazy. Other than that and some grammatical errors (I read the browser version and there was once an "Ella Ma's" instead of Ella Mae... you'd think at least they'd proofread for the correct spelling of the MAIN CHARACTER'S name...) It was a nice book, with a good plot and a cute ending.

3.5 stars - to me much more interesting than the 4th in the series. More mystery in this one.

I love me some Ellery Adams... I wasn't sure how this one would go with how book #4 ended. But, in her classy, true style, everything fell into place. However... I'm a bit worried and unsure if there will be a sixth book... Because of one scene near the end. If that was the case, I'll miss the LeFay family and the town of Havenwood. Plus, the vicarious pie eating I get to do

I received this book before the publishing date in exchange for an honest review. To be honest this isn't my favorite series by Ellery Adams, but I love this installment in the Charmed Pie Shop series. Some of the loose ends from the last book are tied up brilliantly! The mystery in this is intriguing and it's great to back with this loving, incredibly gifted family. It was a fun read!

I've always had mixed feelings when it comes to this series. I'm not big into magic in my cozy mysteries for some reason, but I have to say I enjoyed the latest installment. This novel didn't grab me like other cozies, but it was nice to venture back into the world of the LeFayes. The mystery was decent, though I think the novel did veer off the main story at times. I completely forgot about the murder victim and the investigation for a good portion of the novel. Overall, I enjoyed this book more than the previous ones. If you are into magic, baking and cozy mysteries, then you may want to give this series a try.
