This was an entertaining story! It was a fun slow burn, with plenty of heart and heat. The characters were delightful together. Normandie was a little tougher to get to like, she stayed a little too stubborn for my liking. Though I do believe it her tough exterior works with her characterization because of her past experiences. Brandon was adorably awkward with Normandie! Having his awkward interactions with Normandie told from his perspective were wonderful.
It has fun mob-type suspense element to it with plenty of romance, too. There is steam, swearing, some violence (not explicit, but really there's a mob connection in the story, no violence in that would be difficult).
I'd recommend this story for anyone searching for a romantic suspense type story or anyone needing a story with wonderful characters who are adorable together.
I enjoyed both narrators! I thought they did a good job with the voices. I listened to the story at 1.1x speed.

Drive Me Wild, Book 1
By: Amy Booker
Narrated by: June deBorahae, Ryan Lee Dunlap
Amy Booker certainly knows how to write a fun romance, with some thrilling twists and turns to make it exciting! Victor Blake's death brings a lot of people to is funeral, and Brandon Carmichael is just one. He pays his respects to Victor's daughters, and is immediately taken with Normandy. So much so that he is constantly putting his foot in his mouth. But he is determined to win her over. Normandy is a tough one to open her heart, but slowly his charm does just that. Once Normandy and her sister Chelsea took over their father's car business, they soon found out the dire straits they are in. Plus a threat to their company is evident. Now with the help of Brandon, there may be light at the end of their tunnel. But the danger is much more serious than expected. Will Brandon keep her safe and save their company? Secrets, deceptions, passions, twists and turns we don't see coming all make this listen incredibly interesting. There is nothing better than a good plotted story laced with passion. Booker has this opening story to her new series nailing it and I couldn't have enjoyed it more.
Telling us this fabulous story is June deBorahae and Ryan Lee Dunlap. deBorahae is new to me, and she give us an amazing performance. She understands Normandy, all her layers and emotes them in a way that is easy to feel each one. Dunlap is fantastic as he is the super confident Brandon, tripping over himself and finding that everything does not go his way. He gives his all the feelings and we hear him! This is a great pairing and wonderful narration!
