After weeks of being in my reading slump, I finally finished this. Just a few hours, at that.

I'd give it a 4/5 because it's not as thrilling as the first book. Just because I was spoiled. I already know who did who.

I cried for Stanley's death. To be honest, I don't know if he's deserving of sympathy or what. It's true that he was still a child. A scared one, at that. He was forced and manipulated by his father. But I can also understand Charlie. Stanley was still part of it. He was still the one who lured the victims. He was still the one to choose the victims. If I were Charlie, I'd blame him too. But Stanley was regretful. I hate regretful men but he was a child.

I don't know what to feel about him. A part of me is saying that he deserves it. But I felt pity first.

I cried for his death. He was really trying.

**4.75 stars rounded up** oh wow! there was no way that this book would beat the first one for me, but it really held its own. once again, i love pip - she’s such an awesome character to follow! & Jackson does such a good job with the connections…like literally everything connects somehow. this plot line was a little more predictable than i thought it was going to be, but still a good YA thriller. the romance subplot is so thoughtful. cannot wait to close this series & find more connections! it’s time for max to be taken down.

Ez fenomenális volt!

A csavarokra aztán végképp nem számítottam, s bár nem vagyok oda azokért a folytatásokért, amelyekben a fő fókusz azon van, hogy a főhős mit szenvedett el az előző műben és most minden rosszabb, szerintem itt nagyon jól megoldották.

Bár vannak pontok ahol nem értek egyet Pippa karakterfejlődésével, narratíva szempontjából teljesen hihető. Örülök a realisztikus karakter ábrázolásnak ami ebben a könyvben is folytatódott.
