Bruh die letzten zwei Kapitel haben alles kaputt gemacht
Bis dahin war es sehr entertaining, klischeevoller trash, aber danach einfach nur warum

so embarrassing that i’m so invested in this hetero couple omg😭

2.5*

Imagine someone offering you at least 10k for the secret you were already meant to keep BUT you reject them because you suddenly hate the rich?? Baby, if you can't beat them, join them? Anyways, I hate dumb characters.

So, this could've been better if it was written by somebody else, but the first POV and just the main characters' voices were so annoying and seen so many times before.
He's a wealthy asshole, naturally smart and talented, has daddy issues, and gets away with everything, while she's unnoticeable, organized, goal-oriented, judgemental pick-me who rejects his money and suddenly gets his interest.

It's also not realistic at all and the teacher-student situation was not handled very well. The thing that made it even worse is that I was reading it in my native language and the translation was just so bad and cringeworthy.

The only good thing was anime references (although I don't agree that Death note is that good).

*talking about the ending but not spoiling it*
SpoilerAlso, I like how they handled the ending because it was something I'd lowkey expect from the person that is James.
I think it gives a good setting point for the second book, even though I'm definitely not reading it.
