Love the book series and the Tv adaptation as well

Decided to read after watching the new series. Really enjoyed and there were a few things left out from the show that I feel they should have included.

Average romance novel, enjoyable and exactly what you would expect. There were a few parts where I audibly laughed because some phrases where so overly dramatic. Ruby, the MC, takes things a little too serious sometimes but she‘s likeable in general. Hey, in the end it‘s just another novel with the broody, mysterious rich guy who‘s just so misunderstood and needs a nerdy cute girl to get him on the right track. I liked the voice actors in general, although I felt that James‘ voice sounded a bit too mature. I also liked that we get to read from both of their perspectives (which i’m normally not into).

Update: omg I forgot about the plot line with Lydia and her teacher!! It‘s infuriating to me that the whole thing is completely romanticised
and the author made her pregnant by him on top of all things?!
Ruby catches them and is just like „Oop none of my business, okay cheers“. We never learn more about their relationship other than Lydia being heartbroken and pining after him. I hope this is addressed in the second book of the series (which I probably won‘t read though lol).
