It started out a bit slow, but once it got rolling, I was quite interested. I would have liked to have seen more ardor in the romance, with both Catherine and Julia but all in all I enjoyed it.

just okay - nowhere close to a Gabaldon book - the endorsement from her on the front cover was soo misleading

Unexpected twists but both main female characters' stubbornness, determination and adaptability are admirable, even if some of their other traits are not. I loved the insight into city streets and cultures I had never considered looking into. Great read and a great insight into history. Different but surprisingly great.
