Loving the new characters. But this is a dystopian so I should expect one of them to die.
It’s rare that I enjoy a sequel even more than the first novel in a series. That happened with this sequel to The Darkest Minds.
I finally was able to continue this series. I love how much Ruby has changed. So much happened in this book and I have a lot of emotions about it.

(Reread) Upon this reread, I have realized how much I love the endings of each of these books in the series. They are tight and well written and very impactful.

The plot was a lot more slippery and had me guessing.
Where the Darkest minds was lacking in action Never Fade stepped up. This was an action packed adventure and the new characters have my heart! (I may like them better then Ruby, chubs and Liam) I am more then happy for a new version staring Vida,Judes and Cole
The first time we met liams brother but I didn't think it was his brother and he said 'darlin and I was like NO WHAT DOES HE REMEMBER BUT HOWW!! WHAT IS HAPPENING! and then we find out its his brother and I'm like oh okay that's fine now lets go find Liam and Chubs.
This is a whole spoiler review because I can't to write one that's not, so much new stuff is happening!
CLANCY WTF fist you get all rapey with Ruby in The Darkest Minds and then we see what you've done to the REDS? NO there people too! and to top it off you made me fall for your mind trickery! That scene were Liam and Chubs are on the ground and Ruby figures out its a head game gave me severe flash backs to inception when the Asian dude realizes that it isn't his rug and there dreaming.
NOW Cole WOW did that have shock value! You have what! your fingers are a lighter?! your a Red!
So my rambling aside I loved this book and can't wait to read the last. (as soon as its delivered, hurry up paperback version!)
