Ali Hazelwood always writes the best love stories! The reviews on this book scared me, but I really really liked it! I think it helped having Ali Hazelwood’s warning at the beginning of the book to let you know that both of them are dealing with trauma and that’s why they interact with each other that way, but I thought even without that warning, it would’ve been a great book.

I love that Rue’s personality, was introverted and a little bit antisocial because it helped me relate to her a lot more. Eli was so sweet and so understanding and I really loved his character, even if some of his actions were a little weird. (talking about the conference room almost sex before the big reveal??) (and the comment during his purposes about her being a traditionalist lol) 

overall, I thought it was a great palate cleanser, and I really enjoyed it!

The premise of this book relies way too much on “these two people are randomly obsessed with each other” and it works, so there’s nothing much to add, I’m here for a good time and it delivered.
