okay two things:
one, this did not need to be that long. empire of storms and tower of dawn should have been combined and a bunch of stuff from both of those books should have been taken out.
two, i actually liked this more than i thought, but i think its because the perspectives were much more manegeable. we saw the inner monologues of three characters, as opposed to everyone and their mother in EoS. SJM knows what she is doing, but she is much better when she isn't cramming eight diffrent people into one book.
other than that, chaol could be more interesting, he has all the ingrediants to be an interesting character, but he just isn't. Nesryn should not be a POV character, I do not care about her sorry not sorry, and Yrene was just kind of annoying the whole time. and i feel as if i still dont really know anything about her.
and chaol and dorian are the real love story of adarlan <3

I really have this series a hard time UNTIL this book honestly. I also tandem read EOS at the same time so it was a juicy time! Lol
