It was ok. I say that in the nicest way I can because it is a classic and people seem to love it but some classics are not for me and I found this one dull.

This is a highly frequented read/listen for me. I am perhaps like everyone else...but I just love this story more than most. I adore the old Colin Firth films, I love the dramatized audios as well as and the unabridged audios, and could open the book to any page and enjoy a long read. I just completed this audio again for a writing class through TheHabit.com, and could not turn off the book for the final fifteen chapters, though now I have read ahead of the class. Once Darcy writes *the letter* to Elizabeth...I have to rush through all the rest.
One of the most beautiful, engaging, hilarious, and true commentaries of the human heart and society I know of.

Woolf called Austen one of the most difficult of the great writers to find in the act of her greatness. This assessment is both insightful and accurate, and it is Austen's ephemeral tone--her "now you see it, now you don't" attitude towards her subject, specifically, marriage--which transforms an essentially conventional story into a masterpiece.

I really like this story!! I have heard a lot of people say it’s VERY modern and ahead of its time, and I have to fully agree - very modern views.
However I found it incredibly hard to focus on actually reading it, I couldn’t focus for more than a few pages at a time.
