This book had been sitting on my tbr list, and probably would still be there if it hadn't been for a (not so subtle push to read it) Christmas gift from a friend.
And I'm so grateful for this present! This book was beautiful and funny and heartbreaking. Other John Green novels will definitely be moving their way up the tbr list.

un classique des années 2010, premières grosses larmes lâchées sur un livre<3 2014 me était obsessed

It is one of the most fantastic book I've read. I just love the way John Green narrates the story. He has done a phenomenal work. I like how he teaches new concepts in his novel and keep us intriguing - the John Greenish way. It kept me captivated for few weeks. I would always think about Hazel and Gus. I can't see a flaw in this book, it is absolutely incredible. Every one should read this book. Honestly I was reading this book and lost interest in the intial pages. Then after a long time I read this book and it's amazing. So anyone feels boring, please it isn't. There is a long way to go!!!

My favorite quote in this book
"The world is not a wish granting factory!!"
emotional funny inspiring reflective sad tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

Good story, nice short read.

However, I think the story might actually be more effective as a movie. The writing didn't really have very much depth and it didn't feel like the emotions were genuine. So the sad parts didn't make me very sad and the happy parts didn't make me very happy.

Author doesn't know mathematics

This book was one of the most amazing novels I have ever read. It made me cry no less than 5 times. No book has ever done that before. Tfios made me laugh, cry, and rethink my view of the world. Each character truly comes alive and I felt so entrenched in their struggles that I wished that their stories would go on forever. Sadly, some infinities are smaller than others. DFTBA.

I love this book so much that I'm going to listen to it now that I have read it. And then I may read it again. It's true that I've never met teenagers who are as articulate and insightful as Augustus and Hazel but that's one of the reasons it's such a special book. John Green has used his experiences to help us find hope in a hopeless situation. Love, love, love!

I didn't have many expectations going into this one. It was a book passed along to me by my 15 year old cousin, the cover missing. So, I was surprised and impressed by how funny and sweet it was. The narrator was a cynical, astute 16 year old with terminal cancer. This ties in with my NEXT read, which is also about cancer. Cheery March!

I've tried to read this book once, last year, before the whole "fandom" started with the movie release. I couldn't get past page 10 or so, because I thought it was just too depressive and I honestly didn't like the way the author constructed his phrases.
Last week I rewatched the movie for the second time in less than a year, an obvious sign that I loved it, and I decided to give the book another chance. It was the best thing I could have done - an amazing book, amazingly written and, probably because of my current state of mind, it almost felt like reading it was healing me a little inside.
I never write reviews on books but this one, I just couldn't NOT write about.
