2.5

I’d never heard about the NXIVM cult before, but this story let me into a lot of insight 😳 Sarah Edmondson includes so many moments in which she knew there was something off-putting about the cult. However, her idolisation made her invest copious amounts of time, money and energy into it.
The way it was written was a little frustrating for me (e.g. it could be very flowery in some areas and matter-of-fact in others), but it also did really make me want to go and research the cult in its entirety. There was/is so much more than meets the eye 👀

I think I’m going to give this a 2.5 out of 5 stars. For me, the writing didn’t appeal, but the topic itself was hard not to want to know about.

I listen to the podcast A Little Bit Culty by Sarah and Nippy, which helps fill in and stretch out her journey. Sometimes i got lost in the NXIVM language and felt a little disconnected. Thank you for sharing your story ❤

I gave three stars because I listen to her podcast and Sarah is still just as thirsty for someone else to tell her what and how to think. Girl, stop.
