Only rated it a 3.5 instead of 4 only because I guessed it halfway thru!

Not a bad novella, though quite predictable at times. The narrator who does Iris's chapters was over the top in various spots, like someone reading to children and overexaggerating the difference voices and such, which was a bit annoying, but eventually it evened out (or I got used to it, anyway), and I was still able to enjoy the story regardless. I loved Sasha's narrator; I could really feel what the character was dealing with at any given moment, and it made me both love and hate her.

I'm definitely interested in reading more by this author (technically authors), though I might skip the audiobook version(s) depending on the narrator and just read off the page.

The premise was great - even if a bit over the top. However, it was predictable from the very beginning which sucked all the joy out of it.

Misconception by Liv Constantine was a great quick audio novella on Audible! This is a story of betrayal of the ultimate kind and I enjoyed it for the most part! I will warn that as someone in the IVF world, there were times this novella was triggering/hard to process. I suggest you take that warning to heart if this is something that could hurt you!! Otherwise, my only complaint was that I wanted more!

A but predictable but good. The signs were there and I picked up on them.

When a women struggling with fertility sees a doctor who knows her husband she thinks this is it, she’ll finally have a baby. Turns out that didn’t happen, in fact she lost her husband to the doctor and was now picking up the pieces of that relationship while being a step mother to someone.

Lies and betrayal are at the core of this book. The twists were predictable but the why was meh and threw a little wrench.
