I enjoyed reading about Raven and U'dron. I love how they help each other overcome their insecurities and that they give each other the courage to do something about their secrets. I liked how they showed each other that their pasts don't matter anymore, that they could start over. I also loved that everyone accepted Raven and didn't judge her when she finally revealed who she really was.

A couple things I didn't like was how U'dron's clan treated him for something he had no control over and how the outcast clan was treated all for being born different. Although from what I can tell they're trying to change all of that despite still being stuck on the rules they had to follow on the island. So I look forward to maybe seeing more changes in the rest of the books.

Overall I really enjoyed Raven and U'dron's story and would absolutely recommend this one.

This was an unexpected ride for Raven, but I loved her journey with U'dron and how she was able to face her fears and her peers.

Enjoyed this, but really hated Raven’s secret. I definitely felt like it should’ve been something crazy instead if something that shouldn’t be an issue to begin with.

Not gonna lie I thought Raven was going to be trans and was a bit disappointed when she wasn’t.

I appreciated that Raven and U’dron each were burdened by secrets and shame placed on them by their societies of origin and each had to find a path to overcome that sense of shame that worked for them as individuals. Also, I loved the new Outcast characters we met in this book. My biggest complaint is simply that the dance near the end of the book was rather cringey.
