It’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! It was very very slow beginning and very little action and not much happened in the story when you looked at it but the author built the world pretty well and prepared for the series.

I honestly love the fact that this story happens in Victorian London! I don’t care much about London or Victorian era but it was really interesting to see how much women were oppressed and even some characters were okay with being oppressed. I love side characters and I am curious about their parts in the storyline!

I am annoyed how Nephilim is portrayed as a holy angels meanwhile in whole occult teachings they’re indeed fallen angels and not holy at all. I like the Christian aspect of the storyline but I love it more that it wasn’t dogmatic religious but more of mystical aspects of it.

“I believe in good and evil” said Jem “and I believe the soul is eternal. But I don’t believe in the fiery pit, the pitchforks, or endless torment. I don’t believe you can threaten people into goodness” (what a freaking quote

If no one in the entire world cared about you, did you really exist at all?

OH MY WILL

"Whatever you are physically...male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy--all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside." -Jem Carstairs

It took a long damn time to pick up this book, because I knew that lots of people have wrecked by this series. SO YEA, HERE I AM WITH THE PIECE OF MY HEART FOR WILL HERONDALE. Seriously, how could a Herondale be so jerky and sweet at the same time?

With the help of London Institute's Shadowhunters, William Herondale, James Carstairs, Charlotte and Henry Branwell, also Jessamine Lovelace. Their adventure somehow was really epic, with 1800s London setting. And with the mundane, Mortmain aka The Magister for the villain. BUT, I must say, it's a little dull and not as exciting as The Mortal Instruments series, moreover I still like it because of its narration, sometimes the words were really touching my heart.
I'm so done with Herondale's sarcasm.. Like....

Can't wait to read [b:Clockwork Prince|10025305|Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2)|Cassandra Clare|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1460477747s/10025305.jpg|6674845]
