What the frick did I just read??? It was like reading a fricking fever dream! My god, though, it was so good. Captivating. Apparently, this is the summer of horror books for me. Catriona always seems to find a way to throw about 50 plot twists in the last 50 pages or so. Some of these, I saw coming, some I had a gut feeling about, and others were just there. But, again, well done; you could see the foreshadowing plain as day when you look back on it. I don't know what it was about this book that made me enjoy it more than Needless Street, but maybe it was that I was expecting weird. I was waiting for that twist. Maybe I should be annoyed at all the twists or how everything and everyone ended up being connected, but it was so fun to read! I think she did a great job with this. And they were messages the whole time!!!! I just didn't know how to decipher them. Crazy, but definitely my kind of crazy. I think I said wtf about 20 times in the last 100 pages.
