i lowkey got so spooked out near the end of the book when sky was getting introduced and i was reading all the weird plot twist stuff at like 1 AM so ngl I did get pretty confused but once i sorted through the timeline it got so fucked upp bro like MAN wilder did not catch a single break ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ it kinda reminded me of shutter island in a way it was a pretty cool book

The first part of this was solid. I understood what was happening and I was intrigued. The characters had nice, mysterious backstories, and the direction the story was heading seemed interesting
The second part… I was so confused. I don’t have much to add to the review here, because truly don’t know what happened. I’ve read a couple of Ward’s books before, so I was ready to have my mind twisted, but it was too much for my small brain.

ugh, loved this at the beginning then it completely fell apart.
cool concept that could've really wowed me, but she just tried to do too much and it got so convoluted. maybe most disappointingly, it didn't scare me even a little bit 😪
a let down after loving The Last House on Needless Street, but I still enjoyed her writing & storytelling. I'll come back for you Catriona
however, the last chapter crushed. "you are here too" ?!?!? yeah perfect
