This was such a great graphic novel! I found the world building and conscription very interesting and really like our cast of characters. I believe this is going to be a series based on the ending so I hope that comes out soon because I’m very interested in seeing where this goes.

Was thinking about recommending this to a friend so I decided to reread it. :)
Just what I want out of a good story and great graphic novel - gorgeous illustrations, intriguing story, deep characters of diverse backgrounds, and good ol' rebellion.
I'll have to read future volumes. i am intrigued but not hooked...
I have no idea why it took me so long to read this but holy mackerel it was amazing! The art style is so whimsical and all the characters are so loveable, even Banana. As much as I wish I'd read this ages ago, I'm a little glad it took me such a long time because one perk is I don't have to wait so long for the next volume!

I read this as a webcomic but seeing it all at once in print is like reading it for the first time. I almost forgot how good it was, and how immersive the story and how lovely the art is. I hope there are plenty more volumes to come.
