I liked this book more that some other books I have read by this author. It was light and quick to read but nothing major happened so it was a slow burn which is why I gave it a three instead of a four.

Cuter than I'd anticipated. As with many books in this genre, you see what's happening way before the narrator, but in this case, it's fine because it gives you so many warm fuzzies. Plus the side plots are more interesting than usual and make you want to do nothing else but finish the book. The ending was a bit of a let-down, however -- you have to feel the author could've resolved things in a less slap-dash fashion.

I would actually give this book 3.5.. But it was cute so 4 it is.

I enjoyed When In Doubt, Add Butter for a light fluff read.
The plot was predictable. I knew that Mack (Paul) was Mr. Tuesday, and I saw the pregnancy coming.

However, since I did devour it in one sitting, and I love to cook and bake myself.. It was a good fluff book.

2 and a half for a cute story, but overall a disappointing book. I can't recommend it. i

These are the problems I had: This relatively short book felt abridged! She would take her time telling the story then when important things happened they just happened in a paragraph! I also have a problem when an author tells me something that they have already told me with no referring back to the first mention. It feels like when you read a sequel to a book you have read, but the author knows not everyone has, so they throw in background information to bring the uninformed reader up-to-date. Harbison does this a number of times. Annoying.

Anyway, this book had lots of potential, but went for the easy breezy, flawed, version. Too bad

This was a fast read, and slightly predictable, but I really enjoyed it. This is a perfect vacation read!

It was ok. It's a quick read but was way too predictable. I was just looking for something more. I was drawn more to some of the secondary characters more than Gemma's story. A book centered around Vlad and his family would have been much more entertaining. Gemma seemed to oblivious to what was going on around her and the plot was not very believable.
