The first 2/3 of this book is tense and tightly woven together. It felt like it fell a part a bit at the end. Enjoyed the story slowly unfolding and the ending felt rushed and not as satisfactory as I had hoped.

The audiobook narrator was great, I enjoyed the writing and characters. However, something about this book has something missing. I can’t tell you what but after finishing I just felt nothing strong about this book (whether it be good or bad).

So I'm glad I made this a BOTM selection…but I don’t know how I feel about it. It was both terrifying and super boring, which was a very weird combination. Definitely one of the more unique horror books I’ve read in a while.
