Fun read! Dark and mysterious. I enjoyed reading it but the main character could be annoying. Her niece was the worst and the love interest was unnecessary and lame as a person. Still, I liked following the plot even though I guessed the ending half way through.

maybe I've just grown out of crime fiction, but I didn't really like this that much. I'm a fan of forensics so that part was interesting, but this book is flawed - the ending feels rushed, the plot threads feel flappy, and I don't like how the sex is written at all. to be honest, I don't like how most of the characters were written. it fails to be a crime thriller you can follow, because the whole twist seems to come straight out of left field. but, it'd quick and engaging, even though there's definitely better crime fiction out there
