My ideas on this book practically mirror my ideas of the first. The story falls a bit flat for me, but the lore is incredible! and working to put the lore together is a great time! I am very excited to make my way through this series!

Less engrossing than the first book or possibly I just don't care as much about the Easter Bunny as I do about North the Bandit King. However it's still charming enough for fantasy readers.

My kids and I are really enjoying this series. The characters are fun, the action is intense without being too scary for younger readers, and I love the way that Joyce teases at future developments to come.
