I loved every minute of this audiobook. Like many Americans, especially those of us with a drop of native blood and family tales to pique our interest, I am fascinated with first nation lore and stories that are rich in it. In that vein, this post-cataclysmic story delivered big time.
I liked the incorporation of Navajo culture and am glad it actually had it (you know some books pitch a certain thing and its not present). I also like how its climate scifi (a sugarpop category for this years challenge) and it a majority of the US was affected, no just the coasts.
I will probably read the sequel
My major complaint is the characters felt one dimensional and cliched. There was also the beginnings of a love triangle, but I think its been nipped in the bud.

This is a fast paced action filled book of monster hunter Maggie who teams up with Kai to figure out who or what is creating flesh eating monster. I enjoyed the fast pacing and plot of the book and did not see the ending coming. A good stater to the series.
I thought I could finish this book and not go straight on to the sequel but was so wrong it’s hilarious. I’m trying very hard not to caps lock all over the place but THE WHOLE BOOK WAS EXCELLENT, I’LL BE REREADING IT ASAP, BUT FOR NOW I NEED TO GO DEVOUR THE SECOND.
