Interesting premise, not sure I agree with how the author develops the premise. Way too much violence for my taste but still overall enjoyable read.

Because the book covers a significant timespan and a pretty large cast of characters, I had to constantly flip back and remind myself where certain characters had left off. In the second half of the book especially, the intersecting plot lines get more elaborate and entangled, so it takes diligence to keep track of it all.

The idea behind this novel is just astounding.  The novel just rips along and pulled me with it.  but  - I had a lot of reservations with it, one of which is that it is very cis gendered, and it actually felt dated.  

and the ending, the back and forth between ?academics? it just made me laugh as it was so clumsily done.
